Obviously if the plan is to play a 4-2-3-1 a double pivot with Trent and Maca will work. But I'd still rather have Maca further up the pitch.

Can someone plz do a piece on who we have at the club already , the AXA was a project that's now delivering and looks to continue to do so , Musliawski , Doak , Connonier, Danns , Morton who went on loan for a reason , Carvalho deserves a chance imo......some of the talent we have is raw , explosive & going to save us millions in the transfer market imo , yes we need a LCB , but all the other speculation is just that , Edwards is a Jedi in the transfer market and for now I'd like to see content on who we have already and has genuine chance of stepping up and into the 1st team squad , FFP has never been and will never be an issue for us thanks to the elite transfer team we have , maybe content on a Matip & Thiago replacement but let's not be thinking that all of a sudden FSG are gonna give Slot a 200 million quid war - chest , as we just fell of at the end of season from an unexpected title race , so no open heart surgery is needed , new start , 1 maybe 2 new faces and lets get behind the lads we do have instead of kicking them in the teeth with names of players who play in their positions !!! Can't see Calafiori signing for us. I don't see why any Italian would go to England, the only ones who succeeded were Zola and di Canio like 20 years ago, so stop the hype, it's another heartbreak written all over it

It's capping, assanal had the best defence but lost the league..We got 3rd by scoring goals, if we are clinical we would have taken mancity to the last day....Injuries also played a big part in us having the 3rd best defence...VVD played with 3 different CB pairing..Quansah, Gomez & Konate...Even Saliba won't survive playing with gabriel, kiwior or ben white at CB...Imagine VVD playing with conor Bradley, Quansah and Gomez at LB with a 31 Yr old Endo as CDM..We overachieved because of klopp..Another manager would have finished in 6th...Playing sexy football with combining posession/transition and having a fully fit squad with a good bench wins the league..Ynwa!

if calafiori in or a player like hincappie, robbo and tsimi will be irrelevant in slot's system. taa will have converted-wb role, leaving ibou as stopper-cb, vvd as cover-cb, and calafiori as wide-left ballplaying defender. slot will implement double pivot with taa (converted wb; playmaking) and defensive minded midfielder like endo/fabinho in the past for covering if calafiori decided to take the ball/help up front. that will create midfield overload (because slot love to have more ball) and have secure 3 back line with ibou, vvd, and calafiori.

I have been absolutely livid with both the various content providers across our LFC fans channels and the fans in the Comments re our supposedly critical need for a No 6/DM. Name after name has been bandied about, with lofty price tags to boot, and barely a squeak has been heard from either group re trying what we have first. With Endo and Bajcetic, we have the perfect age profile whereby Endo can play the lead role for a year or so, whilst Bajcetic plays the support/cover role. But. as sure as eggs are eggs, Bajcetic will take the lead role sooner rather than later. I understand that people may want to buy some star DM for zillions, but they need to also understand they will then be blocking the pathway for Bajcetic, who within a year or two be as good if not better than any of these supposed targets. To me it just makes no sense at all. With Endo, Bajcetic, Gomez, MacAllister and Morton we have more than enough quality options for the DM role, and even more so if we play a 4231 and a double pivot (which adds the likes of TAA, Jones and McConnell to the mix as well as the afore mentioned 5 !).

Slot plays a offensive style but he expects from every player to walk back with there direct opponent and defend.
